Day 9 - all still accounted for - and all still alive. Students are enjoying their homestays so far but really thought they had left the walking, walking, walking bit behind until we went to Nimes yesterday. Our tour guide (Jean-Paul) switched between French, English, Swiss and German so fast it made their heads spin. He also walked even faster than Mr Willsmore. A movie today that is in French (strangely enough) with French subtitles - that's it for Luke and I we have no hope. Lots of shopping being done though
Jo
Thanks Jo - So Ray's claims of walking from "Dawn to Dusk" are not exaggerated then!! Today I sent Cecily details of Ray's extended family relative that was killed in World War 1 and is buried in France. Sorry didn't get that to you before you left Oz. Glad all is going well.
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear you're all still present and accounted for. Looking forward to more photos!
ReplyDeleteIs Jean-Paul your Montpelier guide the same Jean-Paul from the 2008 visit? If so say hello please. Great to hear all the stories - even the malteser one!
